Spring has sprung as we sit in our family room, here in Sparks NV, and look out at the trees starting to bloom, plants starting to turn green and see little sprouts from our flowers peeking through the ground. This is also the time of year to plant new seeds. Seeds grow in their own good time. Some seeds grow right away and some may lay dormant, maybe even for a long time. This is true for us, as well. We are always receiving what we need to do in it's own good time.

It has been said that when the student is ready the teacher will appear. This is only partially true. The teacher is always there. When the student is ready, the recognition of the teacher will appear.

This is how we feel about our Self-Help work. Some people will take an advantage of the self-help techniques and grow and some may not choose to. But when you are ready it will happen. The techniques work sometimes in surprising ways. We can only plant the seeds as it is up to you to implement the techniques to help yourself.

Barhydt's Educational Self-help Techniques The B.E.S.T for Learning.

RELEASING ACHES & PAINS WITHOUT DRUGS

* How many of you have aches and pains, like headaches, migraines, neck stress, back pain, computer stress, sore wrists? Many of you may have been diagnosed with ArthrITIS, BursITIS, TendonITIS.

* What does ArthrITIS, BursITIS, TendonITIS have in common? If you notice, they all end in "ITIS". What does that mean to you? "ITIS" stands for inflammation. So Arthritis is the inflammation of the joint, Bursitis is the inflammation of the Bursa, mainly in the shoulder, and Tendonitis the irritation of a muscle tendon, which is the rope-like tissue that attaches a muscle to the bone.

* There are many causes for these conditions but the bottom line cause of these disorders are what we call Repetitive Muscle Stress. (RMS). Muscles are the Missing Link. The bottom line is to restore muscle tone that was lost by doing the Repetitive Activity. "Muscles pull Bones, Bones do not pull on Muscles". Get the muscles relaxed and the pain may just go away. This then gives injured nerves and tendons a chance to heal naturally.

* The reason why I know this is because I was diagnosed with each one of these disorders and corrected them by reducing Repetitive Muscle Stress (RMS). * Repetitive Muscle Stress may occur with any activity involving repetitive motion. They can be called the disease of the millennium Ask any computer operator, grocery store clerk, beautician, meat packers and many more. Our methods provide a simple self help non-medical solution.

* Muscles have to work together in groups or in pairs. Say for an example you want to raise your arm, other muscles have to relax or you may create pain and limited range of motion. The signal has to come from the brain to relax the muscles and if the signal has been disturbed by stress or an injury, the result is you may experience pain. This is why we say we work with the body-mind.

* The fundamental idea behind these exercises is to make use of the body's innate intelligence to determine the specific muscles that need to be balanced. The exercise triggers the type of stressor to be corrected, and the body's innate intelligence creates an overall balance of the muscles that are out of balance in response to that stressor. This new type of balancing exercise sufficiently simplifies the balancing process to make it a practical do-it-yourself activity.
